You want to stay at the top of your game when dating Filipino women. They're also looking for their perfect match and you've got competition from others. We always get questions from members asking for tips on what are the best places to holiday with their girl - and the clear winner is Philippines beaches.

Holiday spots in Philippines beaches are always changing. We've asked our staff and friends on their most-loved areas and here's their preferred and recommended love-nest destinations. Best beaches and snorkeling will find yourself in Apo Island, Malapascua Island, Kalanggaman Island, Siargao, Boracay, Moalboal,Coron in Palawan and the Manjuyod Sandbar.

Philippines Beaches / Surfing / Snorkeling

There are places around the Philippines where all Filipino women will break a leg to go to, with you.

The country has some of the best beaches and scuba diving / snorkeling sites in the world.

Pro Tip

If you're traveling to a new destination in any country, we advise to use a local guide to show you and your girl the best sights.

That's the job these people do.

The other locals will always try to steer you into using them too.

Be aware some of the 'tricks' that they employ is telling you certain areas are closed or off-limits.

Use your filipino girl to talk to the locals and explain you both want to use a guide and maximise your time as well as experiencing most majority of the sights.

Plan your budget accordingly for added costs.

Apo Island

Apo Island for great snorkeling
Take your girl to Apo Island for some great snorkeling.

The first on the list of favorite Philippines beaches is Apo Island. The island is situated 7km off the coast of the S/E point of Negros Island, in the Philippines. It can be reached by a 30 min ride to Malatapay Pier from Dumaguete.

The marine habitat around the island is a marine reserve.

The island itself is 1.5km from north to south and 1km from east to west, with a land area of approx 74 hectares in size.

It is one of the most popular dive sites and snorkeling destinations in the Philippines.

Pros

The island is home to over 650 species of fish and sea turtles.

Most of the Philippines' 450 species of coral can be found around the Apo Island Marine Sanctuary.

Cons

Many people find the home cooked meals that are offered to be expensive and not prepared well. Example, 200 pesos for chicken and rice. If you're traveling alone, this might well be one of the better Philippines beaches to find single Filipino women so don't be shy to approach (and ask).

You might consider bringing some of your own food and bottled water due to shortages.

Communal toilets are not as clean as they should be. But it's an island, right.

Costs

Boat ride is 2300 pesos return.

100 pesos each entrance fee to the island. These fees are used to keep the sanctuary clean and in good condition.

Lunch is 200 pesos per person.

Restaurant table cost 300 pesos extra.

100 pesos for snorkel hire, if you don't have your own.

300 pesos for a Snorkeling Guide which we highly recommend you do so you're maximising your time. The filipino guides know the better places to visit for what you want to do on the island.

Diving cost is 3500 pesos.

The Wrap Up

Plan a full day tour for as early in the morning and leaving as late as you can. These times have less people. You can book an Apo Island Tour online.

Costs can add up if you're unprepared.

Book and use a local snorkel guide for the best experiences.

Pack some motion sickness tablets, in case of rough weather during the boat ride.

Enjoy the sea turtles too. Filipina women love to take lots of selfies lol.

Malapascua Island

Malapascua Island & long sandy beach
Take Filipino women to Malapascua Island and walk the long romantic white sandy beach.

Malapascua Island is situated in the Visayan Sea, 6.8 kms across a shallow strait from the northern most tip of Cebu Island. It's a small island, only about 2.5 by 1 km in size.

It's long been renowned for its wide white sand beach, known as Bounty Beach. Do a simple Google search and you'll quickly discover Malapascua is one of the more popular Philippines beaches, for tourists.

Malapascua Island also has beautiful coral gardens, coral walls and excellent local dive spots.

Like similar island, many locals are dependent on fishing as a source of livelihood however tourism is fast overtaking this now.

Take the public boat from Maya, Cebu and you arrive on Malapascua Island in about 30 minutes.

Pros

The No. 1 dive site is Monad Shoal. It's the only place in the world where thresher sharks can be seen regularly, at and just before sunrise.

The area also attracts devil rays, eagle rays, manta rays and hammerhead sharks, the latter two being seasonal.

There are still many fantastic dive walls to explore.

Many small shops and restaurants are dotted all around the island.

Cons

Unfortunately, most of the coral reefs of Monad Shoal have been damaged by destructive fishing methods which is commonplace throughout the Philippines.

The only place on the island with an ATM is Bounty Beach.

You're better off to also ask your filipino girlfriend to take charge of shoo'ing the local trinket peddlers away when they see you lounging around. The locals are only trying to make a living but you're best to assign this job to your girl. Filipino women will gladly take charge of this task for you both.

Costs

100 pesos by public boat from Cebu.

Private boat rides for 1500 pesos for all day.

The Wrap Up

There's lots to see and explore on and around Malapascua Island.

  • Bounty Beach
  • Langub Beach
  • Logon Beach
  • Carnasa Beach
  • Malapascua Lighthouse
  • Japanese Wreck Marine Sanctury
  • nearby Dakit-Dakit Island

There's much to see but be aware it is popular with tourists. Some, sadly, tend to disrespect the place with rubbish.

If you're going swimming, we suggest you also wear your aqua shoes - many areas around the island can be rocky depending on weather and tide conditions.

Kalanggaman Island - Filipino Women Love Here

Kalanggaman Island & its magnificent sandbars
Take your girl to Malapascua Island and walk the long romantic white sandy beach.

If you're staying on Malapascua Island then a day trip to Kalanggaman Island is simply the best idea. The boat takes about 1 hour 45 min each way.

It's a small island and a wonderful place to relax and unwind.

It's best known for its magnificent sandbars, both stretching at the end of the island. Unlike other beach resorts, this island is not always crowded.

Activities on the island include swimming in its crystal blue waters, snorkeling to see its majestic underwater gems and kayaking.

Pros

Like many Philippines beaches, Kalanggaman Island also has fine, white sand and turquoise, clear water and beautiful palm trees.

The island is a well looked after, pristine paradise. Well worth a day or two if you have the time during your Malapascua Island visit.

The coral variety and colour is stunning.

Access to the island is regulated - meaning far less tourists for you to deal with. So do remember to book ahead of time.

Cons

It's hot and sunny with so much open space. Make sure you're equipped with good sunscreen when you walk to the end of the sand bar and exposed to the full sun.

Costs

500 pesos entrance fee for the island - fee for local Filipino women is 150 pesos

750 pesos overnight rate

250 - 750 pesos for private pumpboat (cost depends on boat capacity)

The Wrap Up

Not much wrong to say about the place except book in and go.

We'd recommend you try staying in the teepee house - much better than a tent especially if it does rain.

There's places you can get drinks and snacks too.

Siargao Island - Editor's Choice

Small and stunning Siargao Island
Relax with you filipina woman on the small but stunning island of Siargao.

Siargao Island is a water-lover and general adventurer’s wet dream.

The island is a tear-drop shaped island located 196 kms southeast of Tacloban, in the province of Surigao del Norte.

It's quite small with a land area of approx 437 square kms. As you can clearly see in the photo, it's got all the magical ingredients all Filipino women will adore - palm trees, white sand, crystal clear blue water and places to paddle and snorkel.

Pros

Siargao is the surfing capital of the Philippines so the 1st thing to try is to surf.

Head for the Magpupungko Beach & Tidal Pools but check the tides before you go. It's best a few hours before low tide so you can also wander the tidal pools. Take a packed lunch or buy lunch from one of the local vendors.

Adjacent to many other smaller and equally beautiful islands so it's ideal to go do some island hopping. You can see Guyam Island, Naked Island and Daku Island in a single day tour.

Sugba Lagoon is one of the most visited areas on the island and for good reason. You can spend hours here and feel quite alone with your girl.

The Magpupungko rock pools only appear at low tide but you get to swim in turquoise water, surrounded by small fish.

Cons

Remember to take enough cash / pesos with you. There's few ATMs to be found.

Costs can quickly add up if you're not prepared.

Costs

1000 pesos for beginner’s surfing lesson plan.

50 pesos entry to Magpupungko Beach & Tidal Pools.

1500 pesos per person for a trip to Sugba lagoon from General Luna (lunch and national park entrance included).

1300 pesos per person - Guyam Island, Naked Island and Daku Island in a single day tour.

50 pesos for entry to Magpupungko beach.

The Wrap Up

There is so much to do and enjoy on Siargao Island.

You can easily spend a week or 5 here lol.

If you like the water, beach, surf or lagoons then this island should be at the top of your list when you and your Filipino girlfriend have the time to do it justice and relax together. Siargao has to be our Top Pick of all the Philippines beaches and islands we've had the pleasure of visiting.

Boracay

Boracay Island has something for everyone
Go touristy with your pinay girl and wander through Boracay Island.

Before October 2018, the small island of Boracay went through an extensive 6 month cleanup.

Despite it's small size of 7 km long and 1 km wide, it's always been a massive tourist attraction with the island's white beaches and relaxation (of all things).

Boracay has always been very popular with Filipino women too which is a good sign of a places' attraction and enjoyment value.

The luxury hotels on the island are affordable.

Pros

Powdery white sand beaches and tranquil turquoise water surround the island.

Some people like the tourist scene with bars, clubs, nightlife as well as the beautiful beaches and scenery. Boracay has all this, in spades.

Plus all the usual activities you'd expect from a major tourist island including horseback riding, scuba diving, diving helmet, snorkeling, windsurfing, kite-boarding, cliff diving and parasailing.

There's even an 18-hole par 72 golf course, on Boracay, for you while your girlfriend is sunning herself on one of the stunning beaches.

Your filipino girl will have a blast with you at Boracay. The island will always be at the top oh her list to visit.

Make sure you check out the natural rock formation, Boracay's Rock which juts directly in front of Willy's Beach Resort.

The world-famous White Beach is ranked within Tripadvisor's 'Top 25 Beaches in the World' which ranks it always high when tourists search for the better Philippines beaches to visit. You won't be disappointed.

Cons

Since Oct 2018, there's a lot of restrictions placed on what businesses and people can do. A necessary process to get the island back to a former glory.

Pricing for everything is far higher than other spots we've mentioned.

If you're going for luxury though, Boracay is ideal.

Costs

Expect higher prices when visiting Boracay. The island is dedicated to International tourism, after-all.

From 42000 pesos one night - Shangri-La's Boracay Resort and Spa (world famous - beachfront with private beach)

From 2950 pesos - Scuba diving experience for beginners

From 20800 pesos - Kiteboarding beginner's course

From 6700 pesos - Private island hopping and snorkeling tours

From 1200 pesos - Underwater helmet dive experience - this one is worth doing just for the one-off experience you both will have.

The Wrap Up

Now is a great time to get to Boracay. Those 2018 closures have meant a lot of riff-raff has been purged from the island.

The local government has limited the daily number of tourists to 19,000 which is good for you and your filipina. Less people, yeah!

Pesky beach vendors such as masseuses, beach touts, fire eaters and sand castle builders have also been banned from the beach front in their efforts to clean up Boracay.

It still retains it's past beach atmosphere while still offering plenty of fantastic restaurants, bars and hotels for you to visit and enjoy.

Everything is geared towards tourists enjoying their stay. And you will.

Moalboal

Giant sea turtle at Moalboal
You and your filipina girl will enjoy so much at Moalboal.

Moalboal is a small and lively coastal resort about 90km southwest from Cebu City. It's a peninsula so it is almost entirely surrounded by water.

Just offshore is a massive coral wall, making it a breeze for you and your pinay girlfriend to quickly slip into your snorkel gear and get out amongst the fishes.

Moalboal is also the Philippines' top spot for freediving. You'll be able to meet many of the world's talented freedivers in the area.

Pros

Some of the Philippines' best scuba-diving, free-diving and snorkeling areas are in and around the Moalboal area.

The reef follows the entire coast line with a shallow drop-off close to shore, dropping down to more than 40 metres.

The area is also known to be a sanctuary for sea turtles, as well as vast schools of sardines. You're also likely to spot whale sharks, dolphins and threshers occasionally too.

Don't miss Moalboal's world-renowned sardine run.

It's a dense mass of sardine fish that shimmy around en masse to form incredible geometric shapes 5m to 10m beneath the surface. You'll find them swirling around the reef wall, just 30m off Panagsama Beach.

You can either scuba dive or just swim out with your girl and go with a simple mask and snorkel.

Cons

Sadly, for sand lovers there are only a few patches of sand around Moalboal so head to nearby White Beach if that's your thing.

Costs

It's reasonably casual around Moalboal. You can barter in the outdoor markets but food prices are a set price.

Do haggle on the pricing of motorbikes and taxis as it's expected. All Filipino women will be happy to do the bartering so just ask your Pinay girlfriend to take over with the task.

There are ATMs on the highway in Moalboal too.

Moalboal offers a price scale from backpackers up to people who prefer the creature comforts.

Budget pricing expect around 1750 pesos per day (Panagsama Beach area)

Midrange pricing around 1800 - 5000 pesos per day (White Beach area)

Top Tier pricing from 5000 pesos and up (White Beach area)

500 pesos for daily motorbike rental

600 pesos for local meals and a few beers

1500 pesos for a meal and drinks at one of the resort restaurants

Dive prices run from 1200 to 1750 pesos per dive which also includes equipment.

100 pesos reef conservation fee to dive at Savedra Reef and Pescador.

The Wrap Up

More for the casual easy-going visitors but there's still some upmarket activities. Filipino women will be impressed with a touch of romantic restaurant food.

While you're in the area check out the natural springs of Mainit Springs, just 32 kms south of Moalboal. They're hot springs as well as a series of 3 - 8 metre falls that drop into shimmering green swimming pools.

And just 17 kms south is the Kawasan Falls. A series of 3 waterfalls. The largest gently cascades down 15m into a huge, milky-blue swimming pool.

There's a lot to see and a heap of relaxing you can enjoy around Moalboal. A perfect area to take your filipino girl away for a few days or a week or more.

Coron Island

Enjoy the limestone diving or snorkeling with your filipino girl at Coron
Enjoy the limestone diving or snorkeling with your filipino girl at Coron.

This municipality is home to the Coron Island Natural Biotic Area. It is listed in the natural category of the UNESCO World Heritage Tentative List.

The wedge-shaped mountainous island looks like something straight out of the James Bond film 'Doctor No'. Don't be fooled though. The seemingly inaccessible terrain also contains two spectacular lakes, Kayangan Lake and Barracuda Lake, which are accessible and you're able to explore and visit.

There are 11 lakes, in total, nestled in the rugged terrain. Three of the lakes have underground connections to the sea.

Grab a 20-minute bangka boat ride from Coron town to get here.

Pros

A once in a life time destination for both the imposing and mysterious skyline and the spectacular inland lakes of Kayangan and Barracuda Lake.

These are often features highlights shown in many tourists' Instagram pics.

If you're a diver, you may already know of Barracuda Lake's unique and multi-layers of fresh, salt and brackish waters as well as the sudden temperature shifts when underwater. 38C degrees is damn hot for an island lake.

Even if you're a swimmer or snorkeller, these interior lakes are a unique sight not many tourists get to witness.

Coron Island are provides access to wrecks which give you and your girl some excellent snorkeling experiences. Underwater visibility extends up to 24 metres so take your GoPro Dome mount - your Instagram will thank me later.

The aquatic views from the sunken Japanese ships off Coron Island have been listed in Forbes Traveler Magazine’s Top 10 Best Scuba Diving Sites in the World too.

Cons

The indigenous Tagbanua peoples have limited the access to only a handful of sights, to limit the impact of tourism on the island.

The scenic and beautiful Barracuda Lake is only accessible by a short climb over a jagged, rocky wall - for your Instagram pics, the climb ends directly at the water's edge. If this sort of climbing isn't for you then you might not want to include it in any tour package.

Costs

2200 pesos for up to four people - private trip tour to visit all Coron Island sites

The Wrap Up

Other spots on Coron Island worth experiencing are Banol Beach and Twin Lagoon.

Open to visitors, Banol beach is a sandy area with shelter from the hot sun and a welcome respite to you and your now weary filipino girl. All the climbing can do that to a girl. While it is one of the smaller Philippines beaches on our list, it will be a welcome break from the burning sun - Filipino women like the sun but your girlfriend, for the day, will need the rest as much as you.

Can you imagine seeing yourself and your girl swimming through a narrow crevice and popping out into a lake on the other side? That's Twin Lagoon.

While only being a small island, it packs a punch when it comes to travel experiences.

Manjuyod White Sandbar

the gorgeous Manjuyod White Sandbar
Can you imagine taking your filipina to the the gorgeous Manjuyod Sandbar?

The Manjuyod White Sandbar is often referred to as the Maldives of the Philippines.

This fruit is best served at low tide so check tide times before making any plans on the visit - check the tides here.

Pros

Situated on a 3000ft deep strait, the Manjuyod Sandbar attracts large numbers of squid. That's not really the interesting part.

It's these squids that then attract Spinner and Bottlenose Dolphins and, if you're lucky, whales too. Just another glorious Instagram opportunity for you, your pinay girl and all your/her followers to enjoy your watery antics.

Nothing beats watching dolphins swimming in large pods, right on near your boat.

You're better to book a tour and just be taken care of. Take a full day tour so you can relax around a seafood lunch as well as moving onto the pristine white sands of the Campuyo Sandbar.

Cons

Don't go at low tide or be talked into thinking it is - check beforehand.

If the weather turns rainy, you're better off cancelling until another time.

Like any popular tourist spot, there's plenty of boat peddlers selling juice and snacks for as much as they can charge you. Get your girl to grab your own drinks and food for the trip out and back and save some pesos.

Costs

2300 pesos for full day Dolphin Watching & Manjuyod SandBar Tour (3 course lunch included)

The Wrap Up

Most tours will start off from the Canibol pier in Bais and out to the Tañon Strait.

Best time for dolphin watching is early morning around 6am - 9am - yet another reason to bring your waterproof GoPro and maybe a dome so you're able to snap the splendid dolphins in underwater play.

The Manjuyod White Sandbar is enjoyed by International tourists and local filipinos alike. Definitely a recommended day trip with your filipino girl - why not invite some of her friends or family and really impress here?
